You increase your addiction by purchasing drugs from Citylife clubs. With a higher addiction level, the amount of drugs you need to fill up your energy will increase because you are more addicted and therefore need to take more drugs.
You can replenish your addiction by "Detoxifying" in the hospital but you can only do this with an addiction above 15%. Addiction level should not rise past 50% and above 75% you will end yourself into hospital.
A higher addiction level also decreases your overall robbery/attacking power. Because you are addicted, your actions become more sloppy as you are more focused on the drugs, and therefore your robbery level will decrease.
